Skin Lightening & Brightening in Accra

Professional-grade tone correction for areas of stubborn hyperpigmentation.

Professional tone correction for areas of stubborn darkening — underarms, elbows, knees, bikini line — using clinical-grade brightening protocols, applied gradually and safely. Never harsh bleaching.

Who is it for?

Friction, shaving and hormones darken these zones on most skin — especially melanin-rich skin. If visible darkening affects what you wear or how you feel, it is treatable.

What happens at your appointment?

Assessment of the cause first (friction, ingrown hairs, hormonal), then a course of in-clinic treatments with supporting home care. Results build over weeks — even, natural-looking tone, not a different colour.

Is it safe for dark skin?

Yes — safe brightening on melanin-rich skin is a clinic specialty, and exactly where cheap products cause the damage we correct. Read our approach in the skin of color journal.

About Amanda

Skin Lightening & Brightening — frequently asked questions

What does skin lightening and brightening treat?

It corrects stubborn hyperpigmentation and darkened areas — underarms, elbows, knees, the bikini line and intimate areas — evening out tone with professional, medical-grade treatments.

Is it safe, and does it bleach the skin?

It is not harmful skin bleaching. This is corrective brightening using safe, professional-grade methods designed to even tone and fade dark patches — carefully chosen for melanin-rich skin to avoid irritation or rebound pigmentation.

How much does it cost?

Treatment is priced GHS 350 – GHS 600 by area — underarms, elbows, knees, bikini and intimate areas are each quoted individually. Confirmed at consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

Pigmentation responds gradually, so a course of sessions usually gives the best, most even result. We will set out a realistic plan at your assessment.

Is there any downtime?

Most treatments have little to no downtime, though the area may be slightly sensitive. Diligent sun protection and aftercare are essential to hold results.

Will the results last?

With good aftercare and sun protection, yes — though the areas treated (like underarms with friction and shaving) can re-darken over time, so occasional maintenance helps.
